Your day starts with an 11 am and after gearing up departs at 11:30 am. This is a continuous trip so you will be taking gear for both the whitewater and Scenic float portions of the trip. The only stop you will make is for the bathroom and to transition to the whitewater trip at the completion of the scenic float.
To start the trip you will float peacefully down a picturesque stretch of the Snake River. Keep your eyes out for soaring bald eagles and other wildlife that inhabit the area. After the float you will begin the Whitewater rafting portion of the trip. The whitewater sections of the river are really exciting and the calm sections let you relax and enjoy the scenery. There are non-paddling and paddling positions in the raft, and all participants are watched over by an experienced whitewater rafting guide. As you float down the Snake River Canyon, your guide will point out many geological features along the way. She will be able to share interesting information about the history of the river, the local fauna and the wildlife.

How Do We Get There: Transportation from the boat house to the river and back is provided.
Boat Type: This standard sized raft is an AIRE inflatable, self-bailing, 18’3″ raft. It seats 16 people per boat. There are non-paddling and paddling positions in this raft. All AIRE boats are made in Meridian, Idaho, USA.

This 15-mile Snake River scenic float trip and whitewater rafting combo is offered 7 days a week during peak season times. The trip takes approximately 6 hours round trip from Jackson and launches from two different rafting locations during the day. While floating the Snake River in Jackson Hole, keep your eyes open at all times for wildlife. You may get lucky and spot deer, moose, a mountain goats or if super lucky a bear.
What do I wear?
It is recommended to wear clothing that is comfortable when damp or wet. It is recommended to not wear cotton (jeans, sweatshirts, etc. Swim Suits are the best option during summer. On cooler days fleece, wool and polypropylene work well for saying. Splash jackets are available at no extra charge and wetsuits are available including booties. Wear sneakers or snug fitting boat shoes. Sandalss and bare feet are prohibited.
Scenic Trips: On the scenic trips for the most part you will stay dry. We recommend wearing layers to stay warm. It tends to me warm during the morinngs but the temperature quickly rises by 10 am. In case of rain ponchos are available.
